536 Og det står i kirkebogen, at familien tog navne-ændring fra Sørensen til Nørgaard (efter navnet deres gård) i 1905.

The church records show that in 1905 the family changed their name from Sørensen to Nørgaard (the name of the farm).
Nielsdatter, Mette Marie (I100)

about 1985 Peter changed his family name from Andersen to Myhren, which was the name of his farm.
Andersen, Peter (Myhren) (I107)

539 on the Ohlhsuen farm, east of Carstairs, Alberta. ||She was born 18 May 1919 in Irvine, Alberta and was working in Carbon for the Oliphant family at the time the two met at a dance in Carbon. Elma said that she could remember the first time she saw Babe at the dance and it was love at first sight. Elma received several cows as a wedding present from her parents and the money received from the sale of each ($45) bought furniture for their new home, a sewing machine and some inventory (candy, cigarettes, etc) for the pool hall. They were both used to hard work and that is what was needed to start from nothing and build a home, a business and a family. Family: Sebastian "Babe" Fuller / Elma Ohlhausen (F160)

540 Originally, on 6 Dec. 1847 his body was placed in the Jean Baptist Faribault family vault at Mendota joined by his wife in 1848. In what must have been a huge operation, the remains of all relatives and near relatives were moved to the family plot at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault, MN in the winter of 1865 because the new railway line needed the land occupied by the vault. His grave marker read "Duncan Graham, Born in Scotland". That grave marker no longer existed in 2008, as it may have been made of wood. Graham, Captain Duncan (I127)

541 Originally, she was buried on 2 March 1848 in the Faribault Cript in Mendota along with her husband and was among the group of family members moved to the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault, MN, in 1865 when railway construction forced their removal. Pennishon, Susanne Istagiwin Hazahotawin (I128)

542 Owner/Operator of the Fuller Coal Mine in Carbon. The family hauled coal with a team of horses and wagon as far away as Calgary. Charles would haul a load to Calgary and find some work there in order to buy supplies for the farm and rooming house and Babe remembers him coming home with barrels of flour, beans, dried fruit and bolts of material for the ladies. Carbon was a hub of coal mines all in the valley east of town. Charles built a two story rooming house in the valley close to the mines, which Grace operated and cooked for the miners. Daughters Dora and Belle were a big help in this venture. Fuller, Charles Woodman (I9)

a Adolf Emil Jørgensen

566 Peder Jensen 1679-1747 was a tenant farmer on the farm ‘Nejst’ from 1705 and was 26 years old when he married the 18 year-old Karen Andersdatter 1687-1755

She was born in Stubdrup, E. Brønderslev, daughter of Anders Pedersen and Kirsten Svendsdatter . Karen's mother's father, Svend Ibsen had been a tenant farmer on Nejst. He died in 1670 and his grandmother, Maren Olufsdatter, married Laurits Pedersen from Striben, who followed Svend Ibsen in Nejst. - Kirsten Svendsdatter was only about a year, when her mother remarried in June 1671 and at the wedding, which began festively but ended tragically, one of Kirsten's four siblings, a 9 year old boy got hold of one of the guns meant to shoot a celebratory salute to the new couple, and accidently shot the bridegroom's mother.

Except for that incident Peter and Karen were married in 1705 and had a long life together. They had 10 children:
Laurids Pedersen, b.1706
Jens Pedersen, b.1708
Anders Pedersen, b.1711
Peder Pedersen, b.1714
Kirsten Pedersdatter, b.1716
Beate Pedersendatter, b.1718
Kirsten Pedersdatter, b.1720
Erik Pedersen, 1723-1803
Maren Pedersdatter, b.1726
Anne Pedersdatter, b.1729

Peter died 68 years old. Karen survived him for eight years and also died at 68. She - and perhaps both – probably were pensioners on Nejst during their old age with their son running the farm.
Jensen, Peder (I141)

Laurids Pedersen, f.1706
Jens Pedersen, f.1708
Anders Perdersen, f.1711
Peder Pedersen, f.1714
Peder Pedersen, f.1714
Kirsten Pedersdatter, f.1716
Beate Pedersdatter, f.1718
Kirsten Pedersdatter, f.1720
Erik Pedersen, 1723-803
Maren Pedersdatter, f.1726
Anne Pedersdatter, f.1729

Peder døde 68 år gl. Karen overlevede ham i otte år og døde ligeledes som 68 årig. Hun - og måske de begge - har antagelig været på aftægt hos sønnen på Nejst på deres ælde dage.

597 PW made application at the St. Cloud, MN Land Office for a homestead (NE32, Twp130, R34, W5) on 10 April 1882 and made the final payment of the homestead fee of $4 on 21 Nov 1882. He received his Homestead Patent 24 Nov 1883 and sold this quarter section 26 Oct 1886 for $800 (subject to two mortgages). A local historian, O.B. De Laurier wrote an article in the Long Prairie Leader, October 17, 1935, entitled “Township History - Iona”. He describes the history of the area and that homesteaders came into the area and that the Township Board established the town of Odessa on 6 Jan 1881. The writer goes on to say that a meeting was held at the house of Pulaski W. Fuller in Section 32, which formed part of the town. “Mr. Fuller served as the clerk of the meeting and was elected the first town clerk.” Apparently the community to settled on the name Odessa as many of them were Germans from Russia and the lengthy article goes on to say that the community had been advised that the name 'Odessa' had already been used for another community and they would have to change that name. He states that P.W. Fuller, the first town clerk had been active in the organization of the town, was the Baptist minister. “He was a scholarly man, and well versed in classical learning and familiar with the current affairs of the day.” “On March 8, 1881, at the first annual meeting, it was voted to change the name to 'Iona' and it seems probable that the Rev. Pulaski W. Fuller had something to do with the selection of that name also. The original of the name is a small island of the Hebrides group [he then gives the history of that group] and it seems to the writer that Mr. Fuller was the one more likely to see the significance attached to the name than any of the others.” Fuller, Rev. Pulaski "Woodman" (I28)
