"JOHN ZIDNEK - By Mrs. Joe Marik
John and Anna Zidek moved to Acme, Alberta i n the fall of 1930 with their children Eve and Joe Marik, and Helen and Margo Zidek. Later on another son, James Victor, arrived on the scene. John Zidek thoroughly enjoyed all sports and even thought he didn't take part in then he would take in all hocky games and baseball games. John was section foreman at Acme from 1930 until his passing in 1951. Anna Zidek predeceased her husband in 1943, but during her life in Acme she thoroughly enjoyed all the social events and helped with then in any way she could."
It is assumed that Anna's maiden name was Marilk as her two children from her first mariage were given these names and we know from the census that the last name of the father of these children was 'Denah'.; Ful-CW2, page 62, Ful-CW2.
