Under depressionen i 30'erne var han en tid uden arbejde og opholdt sig da i v. Hassing, hvor han gik til hånde hos sin morbror (min far) i Møllen, til han blev ansat hos A.P. Møller i udenrigsfart og sejlede under fremmed flag under hele 2. verdenskrig. Da han blev pensioneret, blev han gift og fik tilsidst en bolig i A.P.Møllers ejendomme i Troense på Tåsinge.
Ejner Oluf Pedersen, f.6.10.1897, was a radio operator. During the Great Depression in the '30s, he was out of work and stayed then in V. Hassing, where he took turns with his uncle (my father) running the mill, he was employed by AP Møller international voyages and sailing under a foreign flag throughout World War 2. When he retired, he was married and had a home in the AP Møller properties in South Funen.; Ful-DK, p 2-28, Ful-DK.
- [S216] udarbejdet af [Author]: Lars Eriksen, Eriksen Familie Historie - Eriksen Family History, (Publisher: Lars Eriksen, Grandrup, Danmark, 1997), Fars søster Else Marie Eriksen 12.7.1871-15.12.1939 Tante Else blev gift med oversergent Lars Pedersen i København, men blev enke allerede som 42 årig og blev dermed alene med en dreng og syv piger i alderen fra 17 til 2 år. Hun flyttede da hjem til V. Hassing, hvor hendes mor stadig levede, og hvor hun kom i nærheden af hele sin familie. Hun fik et hus med en lille trikotage forretning i V. Hassing og klarede dermed forsørgelsen af de otte børn:
Father's sister Else Marie Eriksen 12.7.1871-15.12.1939. Aunt Else married Sergeant Lars Pedersen in Copenhagen, but was widowed already at 42 and became alone with a boy and seven girls aged 17-2 years. She moved home to V. Hassing, where her mother still lived, and where she came with her entire family. She got a house with a small crochet and knitting business in V. Hassing and did so for providing support for the eight children.; Ful-DK, page 2-28, Ful-DK.
