[S37] Charles Edward Cratte, Family tree data with sources, (Received March 7, 1984), This is a letter from William Richard Faribault to his cousin Joseph Buisson Jr. dated 14 Dec 1904 in which he states: "All I can tell you is that Elizabeth Graham born July 15, 1805, married Alex Faribault 1825 ....."

      Note wlf: Because he is talking about his mother--- most researchers have accepted this date even though it conflicts with the birth date of her sister Lucy. I believe the cemetery marker is correct as a birth date of 1804 as the evidence is clear that Lucy was born in 1805. Also there are other dates in his letter that I know are not correct.; Gra-Far1, p 11, GRA-CRAT, page 1-50.

[S33] North Dakota Historical Society, NDHS, "Ninety Six Years Among the Indians of the Northwest" North Dakota History, Volume XV, Jan-Oct 1948, (Publisher, North Dakota Historical Society, Bismarck North Dakota, 1948, pp 85-97), The document states: "Taking a wife about 1796, Graham married Susan Pennishon, whose Indian name was 'Istagiwin' meaning 'Brown Eyes'.
