- [S37] Charles Edward Cratte, Family tree data with sources, (Received March 7, 1984), Obit: “William T. Cratte, a well known resident of this city, died at his home here on Saturday, March 1, at 6:30 o'clock. He had been ill with pneumonia for about ten days. Funeral services were held at the home at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning, Rev. A. W. Midders officiating. Interment was made in Riverview cemetery. The Masons of which he was a member took charge ar the grave.
William T. Cratte was born at Wabasha, Minn., on March 29, 1865. He was married to Miss Emeline Chadwick of Wabasha in October, 1901. For the past eleven years he has resided in Wabasha where he was employed by the railroad compnay, but previous to that his work as hydraulic engineer took him to various parts of the country. Mr. Cratte is survived by the widow and four children. William W., Charles R., Lemyra Jane and Alta May. He also leaves his aged father, David Cratte of this city, two brothers and one sister: Alfred H. Cratte, Seattle, Wash.; Harry D. Cratte, Denver, Colo.; and Miss Fanny E. Cratte of Wabasha. Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. Matt Parsons and son Harold and Miss Ruth Chadwick of Rochester and Arthur Chadwick of Red Wing. The sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved wife and little ones in the untimely taking away of the kind and loving husband and father.
